Delete a CMDB

You can delete an entire CMDB from BMC FootPrints Configuration Manager. A deleted CMDB can be restored manually if it is necessary. Contact BMC support if you need to restore a deleted CMDB.

To delete a CMDB:

  1. Select Administration | System from the BMC FootPrints Service Core toolbar, then select Configuration Manager from the main frame. The Configuration Manager administration page is displayed.
  2. In the Delete a CMDB section of the page, select a CMDB from the Existing CMDBs drop-down field.
  3. Click the GO button. A new page is displayed with a field for you to enter your system administrator password.
  4. Enter your password and click the GO button. The CMDB is deleted.
