By default, the CI Name, Status, Related CI(s), and Related Contacts columns display on the Results tab of the Configuration Manager Database Search page. The Columns Displayed tab enables you to choose which attributes are shown on the Results page and the order in which their columns are shown.
To choose display attributes and set their order of display:
From the Configuration Manager Database Search page, any time after CI Types have been selected, click the Columns Displayed tab.
NOTE
The Columns Displayed tab is deactivated until at least one CI Type has been selected for the search.
Columns
To specify which columns to display on the Search page, in the Available Attributes list of the Columns Displayed section, select the attribute(s) that you want to see on the Results page, then click the right arrow. By default, <Empty> displays in the list when the default attributes are displayed (CI Name, Status, Related CI(s), and Related Contacts). The attributes are displayed in the Attributes to Return list, and will display as columns on the Search page. Tip: You can select multiple attributes at once. Press and hold the Ctrl key while you select the attributes. To select attributes in a continuous list, press and hold the Shift key while selecting them.
To remove columns from the Search page, select the attribute(s) from the Attributes to Return list, then click the Left button. The attributes are removed from the and are displayed in the Available Attributes list.
To change the order of the columns on the Search page, click an attribute in the Attributes to Return list, and then click the Up or Down arrow buttons below the list. Moving an attribute up the list, moves the column to the left; moving it down the list moves the column to the right.
Sort Order
Sorting is done on the top attribute first, the second attribute second, etc.) and then whether the attributes are sorted in ascending or descending order.
To change the sort order for values in a column (ascending or descending), select the attribute from the Sortable Attributes list in the Sort Columns section. Then click the Right arrow to move the attribute to the Sorted on list.
Select the attribute in the Sorted on list, then click the Up or Down arrows, or the Ascending/Descending toggle button. Once the attribute displays in the Sorted on list, [ASC] indicates ascending and [DSC] represents descending order.
